- What Controls come with the boiler when I purchase it?
With our condensing units (Paramount two, Sirius and Eurocondense two) the units come complete with Outdoor Weather Sensor and Inbuilt Timer. The timer on the Paramount two and Eurocondense two are 7 days and the Sirius 24 hours.

Room Controls and Thermostats?
Yes, for more information please refer to the specific sales literature for each unit that we supply. A complete range of controls for the Paramount two, Eurocondense two and Sirius boilers are available with zone control, compensation, optimisation and hot water control being some of the benefits of the range. Up to 12 boilers and 12 zones can be accommodated. Please contact Potterton for more information.
- Do
I need to use the Outdoor Weather Sensor on a modern Condensing Boiler?
Yes, on a modern condensing boiler the Outdoor Weather Sensor makes the unit more efficient by modulation the temperature of the boiler output. This is more likely to result in the boiler being in the condensing mode and for longer periods.
- What flues are available for
the Potterton Commercial units?
For the:
Paramount two and Sirius WH series - please refer to the sales literature for the definitive flueing options. All flue extensions etc are available from Potterton Commercial.
Eurocondense two and Sirius FS series – these are conventional flue. For further details on the flue please refer to the Sales Literature or a Flue Specialist.
NXR, Derwent Compact Plus, Derwent Prestige Plus and Arizonas – these are conventional flue. For further details on the flue please refer to the Sales Literature or a Flue Specialist.
- Can Potterton Commercial
products run on LPG?
Yes, all of our product range has the facility to be adapted to LPG.
- Which
Potterton Commercial products are ECA/ ETL listed?
The Paramount two, Eurocondense two (excluding the 250kW), Sirius WH and Sirius FS are all listed on the ECA/ ETL website.
- I have an
existing system and want to replace my old boiler with a new condensing
one, which unit would you recommend?
We would recommend either our Sirius units or the Paramount two units. On a system that has a Δt of 11oC, in our experience, the Paramount two units are more suited. However, regardless of the unit that you choose to fit we recommend that the system is flushed and treated with an inhibitor and a air/dirt separator is fitted on the return system to the boiler.
