In addition to continuing investment in its Birmingham based Baxi Training Academy, Baxi Commercial Division is contributing to the furtherance of training in other
locations through sponsorship of independent training companies, like Complete Construction Training Services (CCTS) of Northern Ireland. This is a fully accredited
company offering training, assessment and certification in the gas, LPG and oil industries from its well equipped Belfast centre.

During a recent refurbishment and upgrading of CCTS's commercial heating workshop, Baxi Commercial Division donated a full complement of three boilers and four water heaters for use in this facility. Whether training for gas or oil accreditation, trainees are offered hands on experience with Potterton Commercial boilers - NXR2
standard pressure jet gas/oil boiler, the Derwent Compact atmospheric gas boiler and the Paramount 40 wall-mounted condensing gas boiler. Trainees can learn the
practicalities of installing, commissioning and fault finding on Andrews Water Heaters - Oil Fired OFS 29 storage unit, gas fired Standard 40/61, the Award winning
MAXXflo 60/200 stainless steel condensing storage option and the ECOflo 230/600 condensing storage model.

There are also comfortable meeting rooms on site equipped with modern communications aids where the theory part of the courses takes place. Training is available for all those throughout the UK and Ireland wishing to get started in the gas or oil industry, or those who have been working within the industry and need to update or renew their certifications. Several other areas are covered including Logic Certification, Energy Efficiency, Health & Safety and Risk Assessment courses.

Vincent Broderick, Head of Marketing for Potterton Myson Ireland (PMI), which is a subsidiary of Baxi Group, said, "This facility is a valuable additional option for those who would find it logistically easier to travel to Belfast for training. When trainees come to this centre, they will not only have the opportunity to see the breadth of
Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial ranges on offer, they will also be able to hear how these low energy, low carbon solutions can be integrated into
systems that will meet today's specification requirements, which is vital in today's market."

As a complete boiler house solutions provider, Baxi Commercial Division is dedicated to ensuring the availability of up to date training and information on the whole system approach as well as on individual products. Gavin Watson, Sales Director for Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial, affirms, "We are very keen to bring our 'one stop shop' philosophy to the Irish commercial heating market and to grow our share in this sector. We want to make it as easy as possible for installers and contractors to keep up to speed with changing legislation, improve skills levels and encourage best practice in the industry. This will give them the confidence to work with the latest technologies in the field and provide them with greater options to take their own businesses to a new level."
