Stand number C120

Baxi Commercial Division has a prominent stand, once again directly opposite the CPD Theatre from which it will be launching several new products and exhibiting a selection from its established range of high efficiency commercial heating and low/zero carbon (LZC) solutions. Yan Evans, Technical Director of Baxi Commercial Division and various product managers will be on hand to explain the new concepts as well as the features and benefits of all the solutions on show. Yan Evans will also be delivering a CPD presentation each day within the Seminar programme giving greater insight into how the new technologies available can be successfully integrated into high efficiency heating systems.

New products from Andrews

Making its debut appearance is the new Andrews AMBIflo air source (air-to-water) heat pump for commercial applications. This is a highly practical alternative in situations where it is not possible to site solar panels, due to lack of suitable roof space or because panels would be obscured from the sun, or other constraints such as inability to obtain planning permission on a listed building. With a rated output of 20kW the AMBIflo achieves a high Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 3.2 (air at 2ºC and water at 35ºC) and, being an 'out of the box' solution, is easy and comparatively inexpensive to install.

The compact FASTflo wall-hung continuous flow water heater for smaller commercial applications has been a staple in the Andrews portfolio and is now available as a condensing appliance. Remarkably, although it has been redesigned internally to accommodate an additional heat exchanger and condensate collector, it looks no different to its non-condensing predecessor, being exactly the same size, which is no larger than a small suitcase.

The trusted Eurocondense range has been completely transformed and is presented as Eurcondense three. Aesthetically improved, it is smaller, lighter with a reduced footprint and all connections are on the top for greater siting options and ease of installation. This cascade boiler offers a wider range of hydraulic accessories as well as a room sealed option. The internal layout has been completely redesigned so that the heat exchanger is now sectional and has a single burner assembly, positioned at the front which slides out for easy servicing.

LOGO condense with 'carbo condense' technology is an exciting step forward in the oil heating sector as it brings condensing operation to this high output, stainless steel, pressure jet oil or dual fuel boiler range. There is no other oil boiler on the market with the carbon heat exchanger, vital for oil boilers to operate in condensing mode as it allows heat to be recovered from the boiler flue gases to achieve higher efficiencies without degradation of the heat exchanger by acidic by products of oil.

Existing products

Also on display will be well-established and popular heating and hot water appliances from both brands, together with current renewable solutions. Potterton Commercial will be displaying the innovative Sirius SAT, launched at the M&E Event last year. Sirius SAT is a range of 'heatbox' solutions for the provision and control of heating and hot water within each dwelling of a residential block of flats that is served by a centralised plant room. This impressive product also allows local metering of energy used for heating and the production of domestic hot water within each dwelling and facilitates remote reading of metered consumption.

The recently introduced NEOflo extends still further the range of high efficiency condensing water heaters available from Andrews. The NEOflo has low internal resistance allowing the heater to operate at pressures as low as 0.2 bar, making it particularly suitable for retrofit and refurbishment projects. Featuring a fully condensing 316L stainless steel heat exchanger using a pre-mix burner, NEOflo can achieve a high efficiency of 106% net and ultra low NOx performance of less than 25ppm.

Andrews' SOLARflo solar thermal water heating solution will be demonstrated with both evacuated tube and glazed flat plate solar collector options on display. Also on the stand will be the renowned MAXXflo stainless steel condensing storage water heater, winner of the 2007 Queens Award for Innovation, and the versatile ECOflo high efficiency condensing storage water heater, with a choice of eight models that can produce an outstanding thermal efficiency of up to 98% gross.
